Darley Newman has built a successful multi-media business and brand from the ground up. She is an expert and engaging speaker on travel, integrated multi-platform media, entrepreneurship, and small business.

As a five time Emmy Award nominated host, writer and producer of the Emmy-winning PBS lifestyle travel TV series Equitrekking, broadcast on PBS since 2007, and Travels with Darley, on PBS since 2016, Darley Newman is a travel influencer and popular TV personality watched by hundreds of millions of fans in the USA and on networks in over 85 nations around the world. She travels the world to experience adventure, nature, culture, history, and cuisine. Her successful style of discovering destinations through the eyes and voices of the locals, along with her unique blend of fascination and respect, has earned her a reputation as an enticing travel-destination tastemaker with a dedicated audience. This authentic travel viewpoint extends into her newer creations. In 2014, Darley launched an original digital series on Scripps Networks Interactive’s ulive, Travel Like the Locals with Darley, and her Travels with Darley series debuted on AOL and MSN as video shorts. In January of 2016, Travels With Darley debuted as a new lifestyle travel TV series on PBS, reaching over 94% of the USA in a matter of months. The series recently completed its 24th half hour and is in production on a fifth season.

Darley’s entrepreneurial expertise comes from creating and growing her dream job. On camera, in addition to her PBS series, Darley has hosted segments for Ralph Lauren TV, Starz! Networks Encore Channel and covered the White House for The Talk Radio News Service.

She has developed several popular travel websites and is the author of the award-winning Equitrekking Travel Adventures on Horseback book published by Chronicle Books. She writes for a variety of media, including TravelChannel.com, Cooking Channel TV, Practical Horseman, CNN, Cowgirl Magazine, True West and Women’s Adventure Magazine. She’s featured in the book, How’d You Score that Gig, a Guide to the Coolest Jobs

Darley has been interviewed for Chicago Tribune, NPR, The Washington Post, USA Today, Martha Stewart Radio, National Geographic and Ralph Lauren magazine and graced the cover of a variety of upscale travel and lifestyle magazines. She has appeared on NBC’s TODAY with Kathie Lee and Hoda and on The Weather Channel with Sam Champion.

Her five Daytime Emmy Award nominations for hosting, writing and producing Equitrekking were alongside media moguls Ellen DeGeneres, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Darley received the North American Travel Journalist Award two years in a row for Best Travel Broadcast and the Merit Award for Best Travel Book, and was recently honored with the Inspiring Women Award from Women in Philanthropy and Leadership. In 2013, she was honored as Travel Personality of the Year by the Travel Writers Association.
